Czyżew

At a distance of about three kilometers from the road Zaręby Kościelne-Czyżew lies the village Mianówek. 
There is buried, the Jewish population of Czyżew and Zaręby Kościelne, murdered by the Germans in August 1941.
In the place of martyrdom is oblong grave in a concrete frame, enclosed metal fence. The place of execution is
commemorated by a granite monument constructed in 1959. With inscriptions in Polish and Hebrew carved in
the semicircular tables, which reads: "Here in the mass grave contains the remains of 5,000 Jewish men, women
and children towns Zaręby Kościelne, Czyżew, Andrzejowo and surrounding brutally murdered by the Nazi genocide
in the autumn of 1941. their only crime was that they were Jews. Honor to their memory ".
