During the Second World War, the Germans locked Jews in the ghetto (this community in 1921 constituted about 40 percent of all inhabitants of the town, over 600 people). Then they probably took them to Treblinka. After the war, five Jews returned to Kleszczel, but not for long. More: 2017 © Stowarzyszenie Edukacji Kulturalnej WIDOK. (DB)
