Choroszcz - House of prayer

Jews appeared in Choroszcz in 16th century, in 19th century there were living no more than 1000 inhabitants. Jewish district was located at Złotoryńska Street. There were located: the synagogue, the smaller synagogue, the rabbi's apartment, the mikveh, and the smaller synagogue of artisans funded by Chaim Dubrawski. The synagogue was burnt by Germans in 1942. (T. Wiśniewski) (JT)
