In 1643 the Jews in Lipsk received from King Władysław IV separate privilege, allowing the free economic activity. They removed them while the municipal jurisdiction, subject to the jurisdiction of Grodno economy with the right to appeal to the king. In the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, in Lipsk were about 200 Jews, and at the end of the century the number 400. It was extremely low in comparison with the surrounding sztetls example Dabrowa. Lipsk synagogue was one of the grander buildings in the city.
