In 2006, the mutli annual investigation concerning German crimes in Wąsosz during II world war (including murduring of 19 citizens of that town) was dismissed. One of the pogroms took place there on July 5, 1941. The investigation concerned "the participation in killing the people of Jewish roots". The numbers of Jews killed in Wąsash vary according to various sources. Some give the number of 250 killed. There have been some information spread about the proceedings of another three perpetrators. Their names are known, but their files were unable to be found.
