Pietrasze - the massacre of Jewish intelligence

July 3, 1941 in Las Pietrasze (a part of nowadays Pietrasze neighbourhood) Germans shot about 300 poeple of Jewish roots, mostly the Jewish intelligence. The next execution took place on July 12, 1941. It is estimated that around 5,000 Jews were killed in this execution. Later, also Polish and Belorussian people were shot. In 1999 at the spot of mass graves - Las Pietrasze Memorial Place - the monument have been set. It's located on Władysława Wysockiego 75 street.
