Born in Orthodox Jewish family in Okuniewo city near Warsaw. He studied in yeshiva in Bialystok. In 1919 he exhibited his work on 1st Exhibition of Jewish Paintings and Sculputres in Bialystok. For Bialystok he designed the monument of Zamenhof (1930) called "The Tower of Babel". It was designed to be a large statue of 7x4m and 12m of height. At first it supposed to be located in front of the Dramatic Theatre, but the location was changed to the squere at the junction of streets Listopada, Piwna, Podlesna and Swietojanska. There was even a foundation stone laid. He was the author of 60 tombstones on the Jewish Cemetery on Okopowa Street in Warsaw. He died in Treblinka on 25 August, 1942.
