Rabbi Mosze Gerszon Mowszowicz (1854/1932), the son of Rabbi Benjamin Mowszowicz, was the Rabbi in Sidra from 1890 and in Dąbrowa from 1910. When he fell ill in 1931 his son Jaakow Mowszowicz (editor of the paper "Dos Wort" in Vilnius) came to Dąbrowa to help his father. Following the death of Rabbi Mosze Mowszowicz in 1932 Chaim Dawid Katz became the Dąbrowa Rabbi. Katz was murdered in Treblinka on Dec 15, 1942.
