In simple but incredibly moving words, Srolke Kot describes his experiences in Bialystok during the Shoah and how he fought with other Jews and Russians as a partisan in the forests under unimaginably hostile and life-threatening conditions until liberation by the Red Army. 

Srolke Kot appeals to us to be vigilant and to resist with all means against any inhuman fascist system. The key to survival, according to Kot, was active and vigorous resistance.
