*"The church mourns over all those who suffered here from pain and humiliation, those who met with death here - death that shouldn't have happened. At the same time church is deeply concerned about those sons of the Polish nation, Catholics in particular, who were involved in this execution and personally contributed to that pain and humiliation and finally to death. It's a great pain and remorse for which we apologize to all Jewish brothers and sisters. As the time shows, when the evil and jealousy takes over a human's heart and paralyzes it - that always leads towards death:  phisical death of the victims and spiritual death of the executioners. In our sincere prayers we remember all victims who suffered from this murder here at that exact place, as well all those who contributed to it."
