Our Society
Objectives and methods of operation
The aim of the association is to create and run the Museum
of the Jews of Bialystok (called THE PLACE). In THE PLACE we will popularize the knowledge of the
cultural heritage of the Jews who lived for centuries in Bialystok and the region (including the
area of today`s Belarus). We will also take action to promote mutual understanding and foster good
relations between Poles and Jews.
The association
pursues its goals by organizing thematic events, holding exhibitions, running an Internet portal,
funding scholarships, collecting and sharing photographs, documents and artifacts related to the
life and activities of Polish Jews. We also initiate educational and research
activities.
