Mark Podwal, pracował w New Your Times. Jego przodkowie wywodzą się z Dąbrowa Białostocka Otrrzymał wiele znaczących nagród w dziedzinie plakatu, grafiki i rysunku. Jego prace prezentowane są w  Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Fogg Art Museum, the Jewish Museum in Prague, and the Library of Congress.
