1. The left-hand photo bears the caption—“My brother—for whom the Torah is dear”. The first line on the right-hand side seems to begin as follows: “a man by the name of ….”. Sorry, but the rest of the text is simply too blurred for us.
2. The right hand photo bears the caption (in part)—“The list of customs of the synagogue for the year [the full year does not fully appear].” We assume that what follows in the small print under the caption is a detailed list of recommended conduct by the members of the synagogue, such as where people sit, charity, meaning quiet during prayers, etc.
Re (2), and probably also deals with yearly membership dues, special arrangements for the Holy Days, how to arrange a bar mitzvah, ritual circumcision or funeral (and probably much, much more).
