Seventy-five years ago at night on May 11th - as a sign of a personal failure and defeating of Warsaw Ghetto uprising, but most of all as a sign of a protest against the world's indifference to the extermination of Jewish nation - Szmul Zygielbojm commited a suicide.
On May 10th, a day before the anniversary of this tragic event, the Jewish Historical Institute invites to commemrate Szmul Zygielbojm's memory. 12.00pm, at the monument at Mark Edelman 6 Street in Warsaw.
The same day, at the headquarters of the JHI (Tłomackie 3/5 Street), there will be an opening of Szmul Zygielbojm. I cannot continue to live and be silent exhibition.
