The Jews settled down at the end of the 18th century and in the nineteenth century were the largest community living in Narewka. The synagogue was erected in the middle of the 19th century at School's Street. In 1900 Fajwel Grinberg was the rabbi, and the last rabbi was
Szejko-Szajko (?). Shlomo Moshe Barelkowski was a longtime Rabbi in Narewka. After his
death in 1933, his function was taken by Isaac Grajewski, who died in 1941 with
