On the 8 October 2019r. – 5780 ( evening) will begin JOM KIPPUR/ JOM KIPUR/ DAY OF ATONEMENT, In Poland called JUDGMENT DAY – is one of the most important, most solemn penitential Jewish religious fests. It falls on the tenth day of the month of Tishri. Yom Kippur ends the period of "10 days of penance" (Jamim Noraim), beginning in Rosh Hashanah, or the New Year. From sunset on the first day (i.e. on Christmas Eve) to sunset on the next day, working is banned and people need to obey strict fast.
