Jewish cemetery in Bialystok open to all 18.09.2022 10 am - 4 pm
The Association of the Museum of the Jews of Bialystok, together with the Bialystok Cemetery Restoration Foundation (BCRP), is organizing an open day at the Bagnówka Jewish Cemetery on East Street on Sunday, September 18, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
A brochure written by Prof. Heidi Szpek (BCRP) will be available at the site. It will include information with a description of the cemetery and the recently recovered matzevot.
Recall that in August 2022 it was possible to discover more than 120 matzevot from the rabbinical cemetery. These matzevot were moved to the Bagnówka cemetery on East Street.
