Goniądz brought them together ABSENT FAMILY

Mike Rothschild is one of the world`s greatest underwater artists. He is the co-director of the New York Underwater Photographic Society, through which he runs regular imaging lectures and workshops. Mike is a direct descendant of the Tresczcanski family of Goniądz, whose name was changed to Bloom when his great-grandfather Moses emigrated to America in 1890.  His grandfather David Bloom was born in the United States soon after that, and he visited his father’s hometown in 1923. During that trip, he took several dozen excellent photographs of the village.
