Dark 76th Anniversary in Bialowieza
On 9-10 August falls the 76th anniversary of liquidation of Jewish community in Białowieża conducted by German soldiers of Battalion 322. On 9 August 1941 all Jewish families were expelled from their houses. Seventy-seven Jewish men and boys aged 16-45 were arrested and the next day, Sunday August 10th, were shot in the former gravel pit near the Podolany village (which now belongs to Białowieża).
