Chawa Ołdak Oldak
Chava Oldak and her two
sisters, Bialystok, ca. 1920. She is on the right, standing. Note: I don´t know the names of her
sisters, but they both died in the Holocaust with their husbands and their children. My grandmother
emigrated to Palestine 1923. One of her brothers escaped with his family before the Holocaust,
arriving in Israel in the 1930s after a long journey via China.

the back of that photo. The names of three of the four other nursing students are written on the
back of the photo, plus the date April 3, 1918 and the word "Kriegsjahr".
